The whiter the copy paper, the better

author:kefu   time:2014-08-09

Electrostatic photocopy paper is currently one of the common office cultural supplies, but there are probably not many people who know how to identify its quality standards. At present, office paper can be classified into three levels. First grade paper is used for external documents of enterprises; Secondary paper is used for large-scale external copying of documents; Third grade paper is generally used for internal use within enterprises and does not require excessively high text.

Generally speaking, low moisture content is better. The moisture content of specialized paper for fully automatic plastic sealing machines and copiers is usually around 5%. Generally, acidic printing paper has a water content of 8-10%. Copy paper cut from acidic printing paper has a high water content, low density, and is too soft, making it easy to get stuck during copying. When the machine is used too much and generates heat, the copy paper will also produce acidic vapor due to heat, which will corrode the copier and be harmful to the human body. In addition, during the humid season, it is easy to encounter phenomena such as paper jams, unclear printing, excessive dust on the machine body, abnormal paper output, and excessive paper carrying. If anti-static chemical treatment is not carried out or the level of treatment technology is not high, static electricity adsorption will occur, resulting in multiple paper feeds, especially when the weather is dry. At the same time, static electricity can blacken the surface of the paper inlet, causing paper dust to be adsorbed onto the paper, the inlet, and the copier body, resulting in spots during copying.

When making a purchase, you can carefully touch the copy paper with your hand to see if it is smooth and if there is any dust; Dust is not good copy paper. The thinner it is, the higher the processing level, the higher the density, and the better the stiffness and moisture resistance. The copying paper cut from acidic printing paper feels thicker, softer, rougher, and has a higher moisture content, which can cause greater damage to the copier. It should be noted that the whiteness of photocopy paper is mainly due to visual impact. Paper that is too white is due to the addition of too many luminescent agents, so the whiter the photocopy paper, the better.
